KY Derby Post Position Draw
Will the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby's Post Position draw be televised or available on line to watch live this year? If it is available, where will it be shown?

no horse has ever won from post position 17. if FIERCENESS breaks on top and cuts over it will throw a monkey wrench into the rest of the field. i am not a fan of him yet, so far i like HONOR MARIE off the great work.
the best thing to do is to watch the prior dirt races to see if speed carries that day. if they are going wire-to-wire McGuire all day, it will be hard to go against FIERCENESS. if speed is not the answer coming up to the race then you might be able to make cases for others.
i remember the GIACOMO Derby, all day speed was stopping. my friend was already live to him from the Oaks-Derby double and went to the window and bet some more on the HOLY BULL colt. i was stubborn, i bet on AFLEET ALEX and DON'T GET MAD. my x wife had the money ball to the race, she bet on CLOSING ARGUMENT $20 W-P-S. her name was Marie, and this might be the only way to get even after 16 years with her! HONOR MARIE.

Ridiculously lazy MLs.
Over half the field is either 20/1 or 30/1.

I'm not too surprised; maybe more surprised at the lack of separation between the two faves. The rest of the field needs a perfect combination of in-race developments to get the Roses.

I caught that, too. No 12-1's; no 15-1's; no 25-1's. No nuance whatsoever.

Yes, no winner from post 17 - from the OLD gate. The new gate is a one-piece with no sides.

if outside speed is going that day, it will be pretty tough to beat FIERCENESS, barring a bad start. but if the track plays good for him, you won't be seeing 5/2 on him. if its playing to closers he will be 3-1 or more.

Don't they always scrape the track on Derby Day?

I think the ML is very accurate for the most part. It is damn near impossible to figure out which horse is going to be around 15-1 if there even is going to be one in the race. TO Password should be 50-1 though. If you look at past Derby odds so many horses who should be 50-1 or higher don't go off anywhere near that. If you were going to put a horse at 15-1 it should have been Stronghold. Most of this field will be in the 20 to 40 range and no one who makes the ML puts horses at 40-1.
Here is how I see the odds!
Fierceness 5-2
Sierra Leone 7-2
Catching Freedom 8-1
Forever Young 9-1
Just A Touch 11-1
There may not be a horse under 20-1 after these five.
