Del Mar,September 2
Well, my Summer Track Trek is winding down with Del Mar today and Saratoga tomorrow.I'd love to end in a positive ROI.If I can have two well above average days ,that will occur but I fear that won't happen.I really need a 34-1 but again unlikely. My biggest single winner was a 14-1 early on.
All bets are W/P and any scratched entries not substituted for become non-bets.

Bet $36.00. Won $4.60. Loss. 31.40
YTD. (42 tracks, July 10-Sept 2) Bet: $ 1408.00. Won $ 1362.80. Loss: $ 45.20. ROI $ 0.97
After the debacle at Mountaineer on Tuesday, almost as bad today.Barring some miracle,it looks like I'll have a loss on my predictions.

This is actually pretty damn good. Maybe 80+ % of horse players can show this after 704 wagers.
First of all...you were making a selection in every race. You flat-bet every race. And I'm sure you realize those Place Bets killed you, yet you still virtually broke even.
A large percentage of your successful PLACE bets came from horses that won the race. Wonder how much above break even you would be if you dropped the place--and just put $4.00 to win, instead?
I've been watching your thread for awhile...very impressive results, B-man. I didn't have to your amount of wins--so couldn't add avg mutual, or win%

Thanks for your support and kind words.I use place betting as a form of psychological insurance in case of losing streaks.Financially, you're correct win bets alone would have given me a positive ROI.But that's how I roll,as the kids like to say.
