Quit reading your press clippings.

Brock Purdy leads him team to three losses in a row.

No State Farm or Subway commercials either

It takes DCs some time to get enough footage to know the weaknesses. Remember Carson Wentz? Now it's up to Purdy to work on those in order to stick. They say he's extremely bright so he has a decent shot.

The magic number to expose the early phenom NFL QB is around a years worth of games. That is where Purdy is at. The last two 49er games have been on TV here, but I listened to them more than I watched and did not pay a lot of attention to Purdy. Watching some highlights both his interceptions were bad throws yesterday, one he held the ball too long on a short pass and then threw a lob, a quicker throw or with more mustard on the hotdog (credit to the great Chick Hearn) that is possibly a TD throw, not a pick. The second one was thrown over the middle with two defenders and two receivers in the same area, he also never looked elsewhere.

In his defense Deebo Samuel is a multi purpose threat and he has missed the last 2-3/4 games, he should be back after the bye. Also the 49er defense has fallen off. Stay tuned.

Every good qb goes through struggles. Name me one that didn't

Some guys like Colin Kaepernick had such glaring weaknesses, I was shocked it took a year and a half to expose him. His last two seasons he was a combined 3-16.

He starred down receivers, never made it past his second read, had happy feet, and never could find the void over the middle left by the spy or spies.

Rick Mirer struggled throwing to his left, with the god awful numbers he put up it was shocking he stayed in the league as long as he did.
