Main TVG feed 1/2 hour+ behind

I’m watching TVG off my Roku app. The TVG feed is over 1/2 hour behind, while the TVG2 feed is current. Never seen this this before.

I did restart my Roku just to make sure it wasn’t some weird buffering caching thing, but to no avail.

If only I could bet these “upcoming” races!

LOL
I watch TVG on my sat TV feed, and play using express on my sat int and they correlate precisely with the OFF sign for when the gates open. I usually place my bets while they're loading and am seldom ever locked out. The disadvantage to placing bets so late is you haven't enough time to cancel any of them due to very late odds plunges.

The stream offered on Roku is about two minutes behind or basically worthless. No such thing as real time for cord cutters.

That has more to do with the nature of how video streaming works over the internet.

I normally don't find that to be the case. Often able to wager as they are loading. What I described in my original post was a freak occurrence, especially since the TVG2 feed was current, and only the TVG feed was behind.

It's very odd the TVG feed is usually a minute or two behind as you state, but on the same TV, same internet connection, same ROKU app, the NYRA Bets feed is no more than 10 seconds behind. That pretty much rules out the issue being ROKU related latency.

When I watch the TVG feed on my PC using the same internet connection (also wireless) it's only about 30 seconds behind.

At first I thought the ROKU delay may have to do with some licensing agreement but since the PC feed is a lot closer to live I doubt that.

If anyone has insight into why the NYRA Bets ROKU feed is basically live while the TVG feed is one to two minutes behinds I'm sure a lot of us would be interested.

Anyone see a delay using AppleTV and the TVG app? I’ve not noticed any delay.

I did miss a couple (minor) wagers when TVG website would lock me out Wagering while I was still watching horses load on TV? Said “race off”. I can’t remember if it was Roku or AppleTV? I use both...
