In the turn for home Poon moved him to the three path while the eventual winner Experto Crede was getting a dream trip on the rail, he responded to the stick and closed well but was unable to make up the difference in the ground loss to the winner.

For those of who might appreciate the value of the LIVE tote action it’s available here:

I’ve already taken a look at the M/L’s in combination with the early odds and using a unique static tote analysis to come up with the preliminary picks for each race. Later, the Live tote analysis will shed more light on these and any others I might have missed. The latest tote action (by 4 mins to post) may reveal some things that cause substitutions among the Top 3 picks, but these selections generally look fairly decent for some nice Quinella & Tri scores.

BTW the Top 3 picks have continued to produce some nice Dutch Win returns when the combined odds produce Profit Margins higher ^ than 50%. When I can’t make a Dutch Win bet I’ll generally pay more attention to the Quinellas and perhaps even a Triple play if the combined values add up to decent return.

It turned out to be another fun & profitable day. My Dutch Win bets produced an O.A. Profit margin of 30% hitting 4 of the 7 playable races. But using only the 2 Top Keys in each of the 8 races with the others produced 7 Quinellas totaling $218.50 return for $144.00 bet. That $74.50 equates to a 52% Profit margin.

Race 3 Hainan Star (5-2): Has been consistent in his first three races but draws the 11 gate with the short run to the turn at 1200 metres in a chaos race, playing that he gets caught wide which may be his doom eventually in the long stretch at Sha Tin.

Race 6 Pearl Champion (2-1) Had not been showing much in his previous 5 races and was coming off the Vet’s list into this race. Was bumped sideways leaving the gate when Fresh Power came over onto him after he was bumped by Majestic Endeavour. He raced at the rear of the field, was forced to be taken up heading into the turn when the pace backed up into him, de Sousa kept him on the rail and was gaining on the leader who had a perfect trip and quickly sprinted past him after the wire.
