I believe this is a fair assessment. She stepped out of the boundary of her position to verbally attack a sitting Potus. It's a very bad legacy to leave, speaking out politically on an active situation is beneath the position held.
Having said that, I hope her final days or weeks are as pain free as possible. Prayers out to her.

Very, VERY good point. Closely applies to how I feel about John McCain, too.

Hopefully, this noble woman will continue working hard for this country.
Should she decide to step down in 2020, then finding a replacement
can be delayed until after November. Just like the cons did in 2016.

We now have a Republican Senate AND a Republican President...was not the case during the "delay" that you are referring to.

You're assuming all Republicans in the Senate would not break rank.
That's a big assumption.

Mitch McConnell defended his position, regarding the delay, with exactly what I said. I doubt very much that he will allow any meaningful breaking with rank. I don't know that he has failed with any of his judge appointments, yet.

When Ruthie passes, which I predict will be in next three months, all he’ll is going to break loose. Trump WILL nominate a new justice, and the Senate WILL approve the selection before the election. Kennedy retired at the end of June and Kavanaugh was approved in early October so we have plenty of time for this to play out. Ruth is leaking oil. Like her or not, the reality is that she doesn’t have 8 months.
