Of all the cancellations and extra steps being taken now, this is the one that
will have the oddest feeling, at least for me. I go to tournament games when they're close enough and I have the chance. The buzz created by four sets of fan bases in any given session, the bands, the scalpers....there are few things quite like it in sports. And that's where the upsets happen, like 46 led off with.

What a huge disappointment it will be for the kids from minor conference champs who will get this chance one time only. Will the games look like anything other than controlled scrimmages? Seems to me it you're doing a bracket, might as well rock the Chalk and pick the best teams, the environment not being able to boost the choke factor.

The first few rounds are my favorite weekends on the entire annual sports calendar. It will surely be strange.

I hope they figure out a way for the seniors that want to come back for another crack at it get that opportunity. They have been robbed. It's nobody's fault, it is just a matter of an unusual situation. But those seniors need some kind of possible opportunity to end their college careers in a fairer manner.

Seniors from teams like Dayton and San Diego State really should be given some kind of chance to play it out, even if it means playing an entire season next winter.

It's called life.

A lot of seniors lost their last year for far worse things, like WWII, Vietnam......they will survive.

For the most part, in general, I agree with you Tom, but in this case, there is probably something they can do about it that is constructive and leaves a better taste in the mouth.

How many arguments have I been in over the years concerning what Ted Williams numbers would have been if there had been no wars, and in that case, it's life. That's the way it is. This is different though. There is a way to make this a little fairer. Those seniors that want to move on can still do so, others might be able to have an alternative offered.
