(5x) $65 brought $122.20
One of the flattest late action boards I've seen in HK. Wisely, I scaled back my action as the two favs just gobbled up all the dough.

3 - 2 - 11
$390 brings $0
Well I didn't see that #3 horse coming...It cost me my profits for the night. At least it was good playing on house money in the late going. AND, if I don't get shut out in race 1, it's potentially a good night.
Thanks, Nitro, for sharing as you do. It's appreciated always.

3-2-11-8– Dutch Loss 7% Profit Margin-Passed / No action on the huge LS Winner #3 @ 81/1!
It turned out to be a half way decent card. The limited number of playable Dutch Win bets produced a profit of 19% hitting 2 of only 3 playable races (A lot of chalk today). There were some nice Verticals hit with some decent value including a number of Quinellas & Triples.
On a side note I’ll be away on vacation for the next couple of weeks.
So I won’t be posting any HK selections for a while.
In the meantime Good Luck!

Last race watch list horses running tonight:
Race 5 Charity Grand (5-2) Was in an all-out fight to the wire in his previous to get up over #6 Alpha Hedge and drawing the 11 gate was not a good sign for future endeavors. As soon as the gates opened he was bumped off stride when Alpha Hedge broke out and caused a bumping gallery taking out four runners, he raced two wide in the first turn and a little farther back than where Teetan would have liked to have been placed and how the track was playing that night it was not the place to be. At the 700 metre mark on the backside just before the turn for home Teetan asked for his run while now in the far outside three path, he continued his run all the way to the wire only to miss by a half-length to the favourite who had a much easier trip with the aid of the front running bias. He has been away from the track since February with a lame left hind cannon bone, but is live on the board so most likely they have fixed the problem.
Race 6 Loving A Boom (5-2) Stopped in his last after dueling on the lead with the eventual winner Fat Turtle who was making his debut run in Hong Kong for Frankie Lor. Callan picked up the mount and placed him in the back half of the field 2 wide in the turn while being boxed in, then moved out to the four path in the stretch. At the 300 metre mark he looked like the winner, but it looked as if he began to wait on others and Prance Dragon was more than appreciative of that and out fought him to the wire, all the while defeating the third place runner Endearing by 2 lengths.
Past watch list runners running tonight:
Race 4 Jumbo Prize (2-1)
Race 6 Golden Dash (7-2)
Race 8 Fat Turtle (3-1)

Race 8 Tornado Twist (9-2)

Going to finally give Hong Kong a try. Been playing the southwest tracks for the last five years but Hong Kong looks interesting with the big fields and payoffs. Let see how long the learning curve will be.

Last race watch list horses running tonight:
Race 2 Shining Ace (7-5) Was unlucky at the draw with the computer giving him the 10 gate, he broke well and went straight to the front but was stuck out three wide so Moreira tried to take him off the pace but unfortunately there were two more under him behind the pacesetters forcing him three wide without any cover into the turn. At the top of the stretch he pulled up to the leaders still going three wide, and with 200 metres left he was in front by a little more than a length, but a short time later the added distance started to take its toll on him and he became very leg weary. Moreira seeing the situation he was in, decided to not get into him for the last 100 metres and put the stick away.
Race 7 Dan Control (2-1) After winning his debut in hand for the John Moore barn he was burdened by picking up 10 pounds but was allowed to stay in Class 3 for one more race by the handicappers. At the start he broke well and Purton was allowed to place him perfectly behind the front runners while racing 2 wide on the backside, but right before they headed into the turn McDonald on Lockheed shifted over in front of him to get to the rail and at that moment Dan Control became rank and his youth started to showed itself. Then in the turn Poon on E Generation steadied forcing Zac to take up on Dan Control losing all momentum that he had gathered back up after being rank just a couple seconds before then. After those two incidents he became rank again and pretty much looked uninterested in the race afterwards. In the stretch with 200 metres to go he took a bad step and looked as if he was going to go down, after that Zac wrapped up on him and let him gallop out to the wire.
Race 7 Aerohappiness (9-2) Drew the 10 post with the short run to the turn going 6 at Sha Tin after running third to Golden Sixty while being blocked in the stretch. After breaking well Moreira eased him towards the rear in the effort of trying to save as much ground as possible, but had to move to the three path in the turn when first time runner in Hong Kong Sharp Style was temporarily racing all over the track. Entering the stretch 5 wide he moved to the front and with 250 metres to go he looked like he was going to pull it off, but he never could get by the high weight Team Spirit who had a lone front running trip. Thank goodness he comes out of the John Size barn, he's a real handful of a runner and with Moreira being his stable rider I don't know of many other riders in Hong Kong who can handle him other than the Brazilian.
Race 9 Little General (7-1) He looked to have finally figured out what he was supposed to be doing on the track in his last while closing to respectable fourth behind Band Of Brothers, unfortunately he drew him again in here. He was placed mid-pack after breaking from the rail in a 14 horse field, down the backside he was in tight more than a few times with van Niekerk having to temporarily sit on him to slow his motion up. Was on terms with the heavy favourite entering the stretch but was stuck behind Buddies and almost went down at the 400 metre mark when his slightly clipped his heals with him, then had to wait on the winner to get by for him to have any running room. He could have easily thrown in the towel after that but re-broke and was gaining on the winner at the wire and even galloped out past him afterwards.
