That 4 horse was absolutely hammered LATE...went from 9 1/2 early to 12/1 to 6.3/ 1 and no showed....

If I was the owner of the 7 or 12 I would be screaming at the stewards, allowing Purton to not be on the horse for over 6 minutes. That would be grounds for an objection in North America.

I thought they might scratch the favorite after dumping Purton and breaking loose. I heard them also mention that Purton appeared to be limping.

Yes...he was. Easy to see when he was walking up the track altho it wasn't severe.
