Canterbury, July 12
Every horseplayer has their own white whale to deal with and one of my personal Moby's is Canterbury.I simply do not do well here, wins are few and far between and tend to be the single digit payoff variety. That being said, I am here to assay my fears about this track with my bold pronostications. Keep in mind, Canterbury's races 1 & 2 are,as usual, Quarter horses and races 7 and 8 are 2 YO first timers. That makes things easier!
All bets are W/P unless indicated otherwise.

Today's musical interlude features the British hard rock band Status Quo.These guys were huge in their native UK; 60 chart singles, 14 top 10 hits and 3 number ones, plus a slew of gold albums. Over here, they couldn't get arrested.Their lone US hit "Pictures of Matchstick Men" in 1968 came from their very early days as a psychedelic band, which they abandoned in favor of the heavier stuff.Their songs are fast, loud and catchy, never understood the indifference.
This ditty is "Mystery Song" from 1976. Pure three chord bliss.
