Yup. When it comes down to it, the medical profession is like any other; for all professions have people who excel in them because their life and sense of self-worth is fully invested in what they do, and then at the other end of the spectrum there are people who just show up to collect a paycheck, and then, of course, there's everyone in between these two extremes.
I had my GP at the VA pegged perfectly for the last 10 years or so. When I called her to request a mask exemption to the CDC mandate a couple of years ago due to my allergies, she refused me immediately. She wouldn't consider my request at all. When I voiced my complaint, she told me to shop around for masks that would work for me. When I pressured her further to provide some professional guidance for where such masks might be found and what they would be called, she had none to give. In other words, she was talking out of her rear end!
But both my wife and I took her advice to heart, however, after my wife designed and fitted us both with black "masks" about a week later that were made from pet screening.
